When Rescuers Pulled A Frightened Kitten From A Drain Pipe, They Got More Than They Bargained For!
By Victoria Lange
NHS rescuers made the valiant attempt at rescuing a kitten that had gotten stuck in a narrow drain pipe. The pipe was so small that none of the rescuers were able to go in and retrieve the kitten. Instead, they had to get a bit creative. After one rescuer tried, and failed, to retrieve the kitten by sticking his hand in the pipe, the rescuer decided to lore the kitten out with string that had food attached to the end of it. The string was able to tempt the trapped kitten into moving into an easier position. The rescuer was then able to grab the cold and wet kitten from his confines.
After pulling the kitten to safety, the NHS rescuer and his team were about to call it a day until they heard the faint sound of meowing. When they went back to the pipe to investigate, they discovered that there was another kitten trapped. They didn’t waste any time in helping their second trapped kitten of the day. Instead, they immediately used the string as a lure and added the sound of kitten noises played from their phones as an extra bit of enticement for the trapped kitten. This rescue went faster than the first, and they were able to pull the kitten to safety! Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like their job was done.
The rescuers saved a total of three kittens that day, one with black fur and two with white fur. Each kitten was pulled from the drainpipe after a bit of enticement and maneuvering. Once they were rescued, the kittens were given baths and brought to a shelter where all three of them were shown the love they yearned for. And as luck would have it, all three of those rescued kittens, eventually, found happy forever homes.
