This Adorable Pup Looked Like She Was In Tip Top Shape. Then, Doctors Looked At Her Belly.

Peaches is an adorable puppy that was brought to Vet Ranch from a shelter. Upon first look, it doesn’t seem as if anything is wrong with the adorable pup. She looks happy, healthy, and perfectly content to lie in Dr. Dave’s arms. But on closer inspection, it is discovered that this pup has a gaping wound in her belly. The wound itself looks like a giant hole and Dr. Dave isn’t sure what caused it to occur. Surprisingly, though, Peaches is in no pain. She acts as any other pup and doesn’t seem bothered by the whole in her belly.
Wanting to treat Peaches’ injury before it could get any worse, Dr. Dave starts her on a round of medication meant to treat the infected wound. When the infection clears up, Dr. Dave plans to operate on the pup to seal her wound.
After a mere three days, Peaches’ belly wound was practically healed! The wound had pretty much closed on itself and Dr. Dave discovered that Peaches’ surgery wasn’t going to be nearly as invasive. Before surgery was set to begin, Dr. Dave took some x-rays of this adorable creature and discovered that she is missing the ball of her left hip joint. This is due to a disease that, apparently, can develop in our furry friends. They don’t know why it happens, just that it does and there isn’t anything that can be done besides treating for any pain that may occur. Thankfully, the only lasting side effect that Peaches may face is a slight limp. With nothing that he could do, Dr. Dave proceeded with Peaches’ surgery. He was easily able to loosen the mostly healed wound and re-stitch it so that it would heal better.
And after a three-day recovery time, Peaches was completely healed and ready to go off to her forever home that was waiting patiently for her.
